Use

How power is spent beyond Earth. Computation and power budgeting, spacecraft power systems, in-space grids and microgrids, refueling and ISRU propellant.

Loads and budgets

Every subsystem on a spacecraft or surface outpost draws from a power budget. Propulsion, thermal control, communications, computing, and life support compete for the same watt-hours. Power-aware design means sizing generation and storage for peak demand, average duty cycle, and contingency.

In-space grids and microgrids

Future lunar and Martian outposts will need local power networks that can share generation, storage, and loads across multiple assets. Microgrid control must handle source switching, fault isolation, and voltage regulation without the inertia of a terrestrial grid.

Refueling and ISRU

Producing propellant from lunar or Martian resources turns energy into mobility. Electrolysis, chemical processing, and cryocooling all demand large, sustained power. The daily analysis stream follows how energy supply chains enable or constrain in-space logistics.
