The Star Unwrapped

A machine unwraps a star: one spiral of star-stuff climbs from the photosphere into the swarm.

An artistic imagining, not real hardware, and fully speculative. A violet star fills most of the frame, seen from above one of its poles, with a bright luminous spiral of stellar matter climbing from the photosphere toward a heavy ring station at the limb. A partial Dyson swarm of collector petals orbits at increasing radii, each petal a thin violet-white crescent catching the star's light, and the background is a tinted light violet ground rather than black space. The whole scene is rendered in one continuous violet-to-white scale with no second accent hue.
A fully speculative artistic imagining, not real or planned hardware: a star-lifting rig clings to a star's limb and draws a luminous spiral of stellar matter up into a partial Dyson swarm of collector petals - the moment raw star-stuff becomes infrastructure. Dyson swarms and star lifting are thought experiments, not funded programs or real hardware. Image: poweringspace.com. Artistic imagining.
